Summer time......and the livin' is easy.....

Fish are jumping....and the cottin is high.......

Landon is becoming such a little boy. And yes, his hair on the top of his head just keeps getting longer. He has yet to lose any of it. Summer has been flying by and Landon is growing like a weed. He is such a happy baby and keeps us laughing every day. He is now very interested in grabbing his toes and putting them in his mouth, playing in his Exersaucer and Johnny Jump Up, talking to himself (chirping) and us, he figured out how to blow air between his lips like he is blowing a candle out - hilarious, he would rather stand versus sit, he likes to handle his own bottle when he's eating.

We have been traveling to the cabin nearly every weekend, Landon naps on the car ride to gear up for hikes with Mom while Dad is working with loud tools.

He is such a joy, we are so thankful he is part of our lives. Enjoy the photos - the videos are the end are sure to make you smile :)

My eyes are getting bluer and my hair is getting longer.

Check out my airplane!

Crack in the back - swimtrunks are slightly too big.

Too hot outside, pool time! (Hot water had to be added to avoid tears.)

Summer time! Working on that tan - little whitey.

Toes!

Exersaucer outside, a must during dinner so Mom and Dad can finish a meal together.

Father's Day Hooray!

It was a fantastic Father's Day! Landon was the perfect babe, Dad worked on the cabin while Mom and Landon went on a hike exploring trees, birds, and bugs. Landon travels around in his Bjorn and couldn't be more stoked to see the world. He is such a happy baby and is more fun every day, such a personality.

Landon LOVES Carhartts just like his Daddy. Hopefully his will actually see the washer.

A sweatshirt to match!

Landon got sooooo tired after his bottle the other night he passed out on Rob's shoulder. Down for the count - or at least 6 hours ;)
Mom got a Landon a new toy - a rubber giraffe for teething. Dad keeps wondering where all these packages from Amazon.com keep showing up from and Mom keeps wondering when the teeth are going to show up.
Love those smiles!!!
Landon loves splishy splashy. His hair has gotten so long, he might be the youngest babe to ever need a hair cut at 4 mos. His hair is all over the place and patchy at best in some spots. A bath time mohawk is one of our favorite looks.

You can hear Landon's little voice and see how he LOVES to play with his animals - Mom and Dad love it too! Enjoy!

Growing Growing Growing!

Another long break between blogs, sorry.

A lot has happened, Landon is developing such a personality, he has increased his cheek size and put on some pounds. He is learning to experience summer here in UT. We have been to the cabin a couple of times spent the night and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Grandma and Grandpa Phillips came to visit over Memorial Day, and were a huge help at the cabin, moving hardwood floors and installing a majority of them. Grandma of course had the most difficult task of watching the boy.

Size wise he is gaining ground. 52nd percentile for his height, 6 percentile for his weight, 12 lbs 10 oz…tall drink of water like his father as his Doc said…

Landon also got to attend Daddy daycare last Friday, a group of us “new dads” went with out BOB strollers and played a little Disc Golf with our near newborns. The other two with kiddos are also about Landon’s age, 4 months or so. It was quite humorous to see all of us trucking around the course with little babies, beer and discs.

Landon spends much of his wake time giggling at us, talking to us and telling us about his day. He can quite literally carry on a conversation with you. Something that Melissa and I think is hilarious. He loves to spend time in his play pen with lots of animals hanging down, he is always grabbling a tail, and oodling with joy about it. So much fun.

Trip to CD'A +++

Wow - It has been some time since the last post. A lot has happened and I suppose if you haven’t seen Landon in a while, he has changed too!

This kid is back on the growth charts, he is currently in the 3rd percentile for weight, OK a little guy, but at least he’s back on the charts.

We had a short visit from parts of the Erickson clan, John and Joseph stopped in for the night on their way to Phoenix. He was able to meet Uncle Joseph who took a liking to him.

This month Landon got to take his second airplane flight to go to Coeur D’ Alene for the weekend for my moms, his grandma’s 60th, that’s right 60th, birthday bash. Phew he got to meet a lot of new relatives, Aunt Laura, Uncle Chas, Uncle Nate, Uncle Stephen, cousin Ruby and Great Aunt Laura, Carol, Susan were all there for the event.

We kicked off the weekend by immediately getting our Hudson’s fix on the way home from the airport. Landon enjoyed his first vist to Hudson’s and despite eating from a bottle rather than the griddle I think he enjoyed the experience.

We went to Moon Time for a fun night with great people and great beer, he managed to sleep for his longest nap ever of 5 – 6 hours, and missed the entire party. What a champ.

The following night was Mom/Grandma’s big party, another night on the town. He stayed in his car seat for most of the night and was a awake some and passed around some and fed some and slept some. But again he was a great little babe at a really fun party.

While at home we discovered my old bouncer seat, the one that threw me from the counter and on to the floor. So we broke it out, Landon enjoyed the hammock like ride.

We flew home Sunday and the weekend was a success.

One Visit, Two Visit....

Aunt Emily, Rob's sister, flew to Salt Lake from Seattle for a quick visit. She made us a great dinner with leftovers which we are greatly appreciating and played with Landon for the afternoon while the mama was able to take a nap - thanks Emily!

Our buddy from college, Tex - Jeff Raney, made a trip all the way from Maryland. Rob thinks we should call him Mary since he now lives in Maryland, not Texas. It was quite an action packed weekend. Rob and Tex took a trip to the cabin to paint all of the new drywall while Melissa and Landon spent the day at home. Beer brewing, a nice dinner and a bbq, and a few Jazz games topped off the weekend.

The last time we saw Tex was exactly one year ago in Florida for a friend's wedding. Let's just say this meeting was much more tame than the last :) (In bed by 10:30 every night.)

Sky Miles!

Landon and Mom took a trip to Kalispell. That's right, Landon's first flight. He was a perfect baby of course. Never cried. Just ate and slept, ate and slept. Landon met, Great Grandparents, Great Aunts, Great Uncles, 2nd Cousins, Friends, and of course - Grandpa Tony. It was a quick trip and Mom's arms were tired from carrying the car seat, Landon, diaper bag, and luggage.

Landon on the airplane to and from Kalispell.

Cousins Amy and Craig came for a visit. Landon was a little fussy at first but he figured it out and flashed Amy some BIG smiles.

Grandpa Tony did some baby sitting on Sunday afternoon. He even got to make Landon a bottle and feed him. He must of done something right because Landon passed out.

Landon after a bath and Grandma and Grandpa's. He loved his big fluffy towel and Jacuzzi tub.

Great Aunt Susan and Landon.
Great Grandma Pat loving up Landon.

Great Grandpa Henderson and Landon. Landon liked the noised Great Grandpa would make.

Great Grandma Henderson with Landon, she rocked him right to sleep. She's still got it!

Grandma DeVoe with Landon at the airport - proud Grandma!

Great Uncle Don even surprised us for a visit at the airport.

It was a fast a furious trip and Landon met all of his family and friends. He is looking forward to the next visit when he has more to say :) (He did roll over for the first time while we were there!)

Bubble bath!

Funny story –

Landon’s night time routine involves giving him some food, taking a bath then giving him another snack and then sleep. So the other night I filled him with food and Melissa jumped in the bath with him. She scrubbed him up and then I come in with a towel to catch his wet little body out of the bath.

Just as I kneel down with the towel I hear a blip – blip blip bliiiiiip….thats right, Landon was making a bubble bath! What a sweet boy making a Jacuzzi for his mom. Melissa and I were rolling with laughter. I guess some things in life will never change, food makes you fart and farts in general are pretty funny.

Here are some photos for you to enjoy.
