"Big" Events

Well a couple things to note over the past couple days.

1) Friday afternoon Melissa and I took Landon out to lunch, thats right a real outing. We went to Desert Edge (of course) and had a nice lunch together. Landon was a near angel and slept in his car-seat under the table. Not a peep. Odd realization: Melissa and I usually sit in the "bar" area of the Pub....not anymore, we were restricted to the "family" or restaurant side....odd change of the times.

2) Landon's thigh is looking good enough to eat. His little skinny elephant skin covered legs are looking like he is packing on the pounds! He certainly needs the weight, so that is good news.

Other than that not a lot going on. I took half the day on friday and went skiing, hard wirk with Justin Doll and John Maxwell, they pretty much put the hurtin' on me. We hung curtains in Landon's room on Saturday and had a bunch of friends over (Doll's and the Avey's) to have fish tacos and watch the Jazz game. We won.

We ended up playing Mario Bros. wii, what a hoot to have 4 people on the screen at once, lots of yelling, a little cussing, and a lot of fun!

Today we are going to go watch the USA vs Canada olympic hockey game at the Doll's house. But first Melissa read The Lorax to Landon and rocked him to sleep....it also put our "other" kids to sleep as well. Pretty cute.

what does a 3 week old do?

Well - not a lot. But here is a video to give you an idea. When I got home from work he was snoozing, and he slept all the way until 7:30.

Landon got to read (listen to) Mother Goose for the first time, Melissa is certain that the author was on drugs when that was written...

Sliders for dinner, and Jazz win round out the night.

Enjoy the video.

Give me a bottle!

Well tonight Dad got to teach Landon how to drink from a bottle! Ok so really he learned on his own how to eat from a bottle, and things went swimmingly

Melissa had a "play-date" with Stephanie and her 7 ish week old Katelyn (sp), Katelyn has grown so much since we saw her last, pretty cute to see these two together.
It is pretty incredible to see him changing every day, today he seemed to be awake more in the evening, and for longer. So chill. He ate a big meal from the bottle, did not cry much when he was being changed and really is pretty good. I just hope that he sleeps tonight.
Last night was NOT-SO-GOOD. Melissa was good enough to stay up with him until 2:30 am, then the hand-off occurred, I was able to coax him to sleep from 3:30 to 5:30 when Melissa turned it on again, and was up feeding and relaxing with him. Currently, we need more sleep.
We also got out for a walk with the dogs tonight around the short loop (as we call it) and Landon bundled up in his stroller and did just great, had his eyes open most of the ride, and I think his perception of things around him is really starting to develop. WOW.

Each day - a new experience.
