Time Flies and Landon Has Grown

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. It's amazing how time flies, especially when time is measured in clapping, waving, talking, eating, walking. Landon has seemed to have grown these past months. Not in height or weight but he is beginning to get it. If you wave to Landon, he will smile and wave back - his hand is backwards but he's waving. If you say "Landon, clap your hands", he smiles and beats his hands together so very proud. He stands at the back window and yells to the dogs, he eats much of what we do - has two bottom teeth and four top teeth working their way in....ouch! He crawls so fast we actually have to sprint to grab him, he can turn around and get down off of the couch - next up, walking. I don't think we are too far off. He can balance for a second or two on his own and then realizes what he's done and sits down.

This post is a collection of pictures from the last few weeks.

Our Christmas picture from the cabin after cutting down our Christmas tree. Even the dogs are looking - nice!

The "Men" getting ready to cut down the tree. We of course cut down a Charlie Brown tree that was growing into another one so that the good trees can survive.

Christmas tree decorating!

Landon at the head of the Thanksgiving table - no worries, he didn't have any wine. He did shove an entire Crescent Roll into his mouth. Like father like son - their favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner.
Landon stuffed after dinner with a little mashed potato on his nose. We spent Thanksgiving at the cabin. When we got there it was zero degrees or below- the thermometer in the cabin didn't even register. Landon and Melissa snuggled up next to the wood stove for about 2- 3 hours until it reached about 50 degrees. Then it was time to play. (The sleeping temp ended up at about 80 degrees with windows open.)

Landon gets into everything, any drawer is fair game, as well as the stuff in it.

A hike at the property before the snow came.
How Melissa found Landon one morning in his crib - looks like he's in jail.

And a shout out to Grandma DeVoe in our white turtleneck.

Last but not least. Our first true blowout. Landon went straight in the bath - twice.

Love to you all!

Pianos and Prodigies

Landon has become quite the piano player. He plays the highs, the lows, and everything in between and all at the same time.

Melissa discovered his love for the piano a few weeks ago. She was in the office and all of sudden heard notes playing, she couldn't remember leaving the radio or the t.v. on and quickly realized that Landon was standing and tickling the ivories.

We'll see where this goes.

FALL

Who says eating leaves isn't more fun than playing in them? :)

Uncle Nate had some funny comment about legless babies - very funny.

Such a sweet boy!

Happy Halloween and Other Stuff

Happy Halloween and Happy Birthday Grandpa Tony!

Landon was/is a skeleton for Halloween. His skeleton pajamas even glow in the dark. We were lucky enough to already own the Vans shoes that matched his costume perfectly. We had two days of trick-or-treating. One day at Rob's office and the next day at Melissa's office. He crawled all over the office and has a love for that short burber office carpet - good grip on those tiny knees. Not sure what Landon thought about the whole ordeal but he did enjoy pulling small packages of candy out of someone elses bowl and placing it directly in his mouth. We filled his bucket with Cheerios so that he could eat along his trick-or-treating way and avoid the candy.

We took a quick trip to Bozeman where Landon met Great Grandma Anita and Great Uncle John. It was fun to be back in Bozeman and walk Landon around downtown.

Great Grandma Anita gave Landon a bath robe when he was born. We have been getting great use out of it with our hot tubbing excursions. Landon is quite the water baby splashing about and floating on his back. (Looks like he's ready to take the corner ring.)

And a few videos.....

He's a maniac, maniac on the floor......

Landon has become a crazy little man. He, within one week, learned to crawl, sit up on his own, push himself up to sitting, grew another tooth, started saying "mommoommmoommmm", and manged to pull himself up to standing in his crib - he is a maniac. He is into everything, anything not classified as a toy is much more fun than real toys. Speaker wires, dog water, Rob's flip flops, drawer pulls, you name it. He can crawl where he wants and he does. He is eating more and more and recently weighed in at 17 lbs 2 oz - at 8 1/2 months. He loves Cheerios, green beans, and bananas. We flew to Oregon last week for 10/10/10 and Landon stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Erickson and saw Uncle Thomas and Joseph. He had a fantastic time and even came home with some new U of O Ducks outfits, and a few toys. He is still a happy little man, smiling and giggling now with his two bottom teeth poking through like snow capped mountains. He keeps running his tongue over his teeth, I'm sure they feel quite foreign to him. Enjoy the pictures and videos!

Landon in his hiking backpack - a little static in the air :)

Landon next to Lake Mary near Brighton Ski Resort at our hiking destination.

Figuring out how to stand on his own. Busy, busy, busy.

More standing.

A few videos.

Ladies and Gentlemen....We Have A TOOTH!

My what big eyes you have.....and a TOOTH! Landon sprouted his first tooth yesterday some time during the day or the night before. It's his bottom left tooth, the tooth right next to it is quickly to follow. Didn't/doesn't seem to bother him too much. Although I think he will quickly learn that it might hurt when he bites down on his little hand....we'll see.
Landon posing, he consistently hangs out in this pose. Not sure where he gets this.

Bumpy gums.

And here it is, you can see the white spec of the new tooth poking through.

All Giggles

It's been over a month and Landon has grown - of course he is bigger, but smarter, stronger, and full of personality. Yesterday I was feeding him and just kept giggling in the middle of our feeding. I couldn't figure out what he was laughing at so I paid attention to him and watched him slowly brush his fingers over his thigh....apparently this tickles. He laughed and laughed and continued to tickle himself. Is it even possible to tickle to yourself :)

Mountain Rendezvous was last weekend at the property. Landon represented in his Carhart overalls - double-kneed of course.

Hope all is well with everyone, enjoy the photos!

Another day at the cabin - chilly at night, requires a warm sweatshirt. Oh, and a little sun and wind burn. Check out my rosy cheeks.

Eating is always exciting. Usually some bananas or applesauce in the morning and some peas, carrots or sweet potatoes for dinner. Most ends up on Landon's face but he's definitely getting the hang of it.

Already learning the Blackberry - or telling Mom to stop working and get off of the phone!

Long day at the lake, time for a snooze. Check out my Nike sandals - pretty cute.

More food.

Cool new high chair that hooks on to the end of the table and spins around.

Dad teaching Landon to play the guitar. (Landon also LOVES to type on the computer, he sends emails and today he tore the shift key off Rob's computer.)

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'

Landon is rolling all over the place. He decided today that he likes to roll over from his back to his belly, however once he is on his belly he is not so happy with his choice. Grandma DeVoe made a trip down and stayed for a week. It was so much fun to have her here and watch Landon. They were buddies all week long. Landon is growing so fast and is fitting nicely into his 6 month clothing. We thought those clothes would never fit and that people were crazy for buying them - we were wrong. Landon will be 6 months on Sunday - can you believe it?! Wild to think about what he will be doing in another 6 months.

Enjoy the photos. Some randoms from the past week.

More bath time fine with our silly hair. (It's short on the sides but sooooo long on top.)

Grandma DeVoe and Landon - getting ready for bed.

Rollin', rollin', rollin'.

My big boy jammies. Stylin' in Ralph Lauren.

Landon just giggles when Rob tosses him all around.

Rob's invention is to have a belt where you just strap your kid in so you can be hands free ;)

For all those Mariners fans!

Just another day at the pool!
